MIC Group appoints Maldivians in key roles

Maldives Inflight Catering (MIC) Group has announced the appointment of several key leadership hires across its properties, underscoring their commitment to enhancing service excellence and operational efficiency through the expertise of local talent. These new leaders bring considerable experience from esteemed organisations in the Maldives, ensuring continued growth and exemplary guest experiences.

Abdulla Fahmee – Executive Housekeeper, Madifushi Private Island

Abdulla Fahmee joins Madifushi Private Island as the Executive Housekeeper, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He has previously held key positions at renowned properties such as Velaa Private Island Maldives and One&Only Reethi Rah Maldives. Fahmee is known for his skills in implementing innovative solutions that reduce room setup time while maintaining high-quality industry standards. His extensive experience and dedication to service excellence is promised to greatly enhance the serene guest experience at Madifushi Private Island.

Ahmed Shimail – Assistant Manager, Procurement & Logistics, MIC Group

MIC Group proudly welcomes back Ahmed Shimail, who brings with him extensive expertise in procurement and logistics to his new role as the Assistant Manager of Procurement and Logistics. Having formerly worked with Hulhule Island Hotel as a Procurement Officer, Shimail is a well-known name in the industry and his strategic approach to sourcing, logistics and supply chain management is sure to optimise the operations and cost effectiveness across the organisation. He also has worked with other companies of the field like E&E Maldives, in which he successfully expanded in business operations and networking.

Hamza Waheed – Assistant Chief Engineer, Hulhule Island Hotel

Hamza Waheed, a seasoned civil engineer with a strong background in engineering and project management, is the newest addition to the team of Hulhule Island Hotel. Currently holding the position of Assistant Chief Engineer, his strong background in site supervision and building maintenance will ensure the ongoing upkeep and development of the hotel’s infrastructure and facilities. He has also served as Assistant Chief Engineer at JOALI BEING and Site Supervisor at Soneva Fushi amongst other remarkable roles.

Mohamed Raihaan – Assistant IT Manager, Hulhule Island Hotel

Mohamed Raihaan joins Hulhule Island Hotel as Assistant IT Manager, equipped with a strong background in IT and system administration. Having worked as a Team Leader at Radisson Blu Resort Maldives, IT Assistant at Comtronics Training Centre and IT Technician at Co-Load, his expertise in IT infrastructure, alongside experience in e-commerce, will play an essential role in supporting the hotel’s digital transformation and enhancing its technological systems.
