Nominations for Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025 conclude with over 450 entries
The nomination period for the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025, presented by Bestbuy Maldives (BBM), closed on February 10, with over 450 nominees.
Scheduled to take place in May 2025, the Hotelier Maldives Awards aim to celebrate the outstanding professionals contributing to the Maldives’ thriving tourism and hospitality industry. The awards were launched in 2024, with the inaugural event receiving over 300 nominations and 100,000 public votes.
The 2025 edition, building on the success of the first awards, features four new categories:
- Watersports Personality of the Year
- Diving Personality of the Year
- Airport Representative of the Year
- Resort Manager of the Year
These additions ensure broader recognition across the diverse roles driving the Maldives’ tourism success.
A shortlist will be compiled and reviewed by an independent panel of judges from February 20 to March 10. The winners will be determined through an evaluation process that combines judges’ marks (60%) and public votes (40%). Finalists will be announced online before the public voting phase runs from March 20 to April 20.
The winners will be unveiled at a gala ceremony in May 2025.
