Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has announced the promotion of Russel Suarez to Front Office Manager, marking an important milestone in her professional journey and recognising her longstanding dedication to exceptional guest service.
With more than ten years of experience across the Maldivian hospitality sector, Russel brings a wealth of operational expertise developed through her work in Front Office, Housekeeping, and pre-opening task force roles. Since joining the resort in 2022 as Assistant Front Office Manager, she has been consistently recognised for her professionalism, calm leadership, and collaborative approach.
Russel’s capability in developing teams and shaping service culture was further demonstrated through her role as a Task Force Trainer for two high-profile pre-openings: Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and The St. Regis Red Sea Resort in Saudi Arabia. In each project, she contributed to building strong operational foundations, setting service standards, and fostering a guest-focused mindset among new teams.
At Sheraton Maldives, she has established herself as a key member of the Front Office team, known for her warm presence, operational insight, and ability to inspire confidence and unity among colleagues. She has played an integral role during peak occupancy periods and complex service scenarios, consistently demonstrating the Sheraton values of warmth, connection, and intuitive service.
In her new position as Front Office Manager, Russel will lead initiatives to enhance guest arrival and departure experiences, strengthen collaboration across departments, and integrate technology more seamlessly into daily operations while maintaining a personalised service approach. She also intends to continue steering the department towards paperless and environmentally conscious practices in support of the resort’s sustainability objectives.
