Sheraton Maldives welcomes back Chef Maksat Zhulovchinov as Executive Chef

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Chef Maksat Zhulovchinov as the new Executive Chef, effective July 20, 2024. Chef Maksat is no stranger to the resort, having previously served as the Executive Sous Chef, where his remarkable contributions helped elevate the resort’s culinary offerings.

Returning with over 17 years of industry experience, including 8 years with Marriot International, Chef Maksat brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and passion to his new role. His career has been marked by dedication to quality and innovation, consistently delivering exceptional dining experiences across his various roles.

Before rejoining Sheraton Maldives, Chef Maksat held the position of Multi-Property Executive Sous Chef at Le Royal Meridien Hotel Doha, Le Royal Meridien Residences, and Agora Autograph Collection Doha. His previous experience also includes his role as Chef de Cuisine at The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh and Banquet Sous Chef at The Ritz-Carlton Almaty.

Chef Maksat’s journey began with his education at Almaty Business College, where he cultivated a deep passion for culinary arts. Over the years, he has continuously honed his skills through various training programs and hands-on experiences in prestigious properties such as Intercontinental Almaty, The Ritz-Carlton Almaty, and The Ritz-Carlton Riyadh. His experience also extends to supporting key pre-openings through task force assignments at Le Meridien Riyadh, Autograph Collection Qabila Doha, and The Ritz-Carlton Rabat.

In addition to this professional achievements, Chef Maksat was recently nominated for ‘Best Manager of the Quarter’ in Doha in 2024, a testament to his leadership and excellence in the culinary field.

Beyond the kitchen, Chef Maksat’s passion for traveling, reading, and active sports enriches his creative approach to culinary artistry. The team at Sheraton Maldives is thrilled to welcome him back and looks forward to redefining its culinary journey under his expert guidance.
