Six Senses Laamu announces special activities for festive season

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Six Senses Laamu is gearing up for the festive season with special activities and celebrations planned for guests of all ages between December 23, 2016 and January 3, 2017.

Some of the festive highlights include:

Dr. Jitendra invites guests to discover the Six Senses Integrated Wellness programs. A variety of classes and workshops have also been added to the extensive range of signature treatments.

“Experts at Six Senses Spa Laamu recommend kick starting your day with sunrise or laughing yoga and enjoying the special family and couples’ packages available over the season,” the resort said in a press statement.

Dr. Gopal, a naturopathic doctor and yoga expert from India, who specialises in Ayurveda and Wellness will be at Six Senses Spa.

Chef Martin and his team will be taking guests on various culinary journeys for this season from a special steak house featured in LEAF restaurant to a spice festival, where curries and spices from all over Asia complement the perfect sunset beach dining setup. For those seeking a more refined experience, wine and chocolate pairing, sparkling wine discovery and special sunset aperitif sessions will be available.

For the little VIPs, a variety of creative, educational and sports activities are organised for children of all ages, along with a pirate snorkeling adventure. Many island adventures are also planned such as treasure hunts, a night exploration and a flashlight scavenger hunt.

DJ Cayetano will be on the decks of Chill Bar this season, creating magical sunset moments every evening. Des Mitchell will be spinning his tunes at Chill Bar on Christmas Eve and hosting the New Year’s celebration on the beach on December 31, inviting everyone to dance the old year away and to welcome a prosperous new year.

For those seeking to explore more of what the Maldives have to offer, there are plenty of off-island excursion options available. Whether this be hopping on a boat to experience life on a nearby local island or having a deserted island to yourselves for a day, the boat captains are ready to take you there. It is a great time for families to get together and spend some quality time.

But guests don’t have to always stay on land. The underwater world on the surrounding reefs can be discovered during snorkeling and diving excursions. Guests can experience a variety of water sports and will be also challenged in water-polo and volleyball games by the resort’s hosts. At Six Senses Laamu the clear and starry skies away from the city lights are truly spectacular. Guests who are fascinated by the universe with its stars, planets, comets and moon can join Astronomer Dr. Parag for stargazing sessions on sunset beach in the evenings. He will also be offering sun gazing sessions in the mornings.

Six Senses Laamu is the only resort in the Laamu Atoll, deep in the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a beautiful coral house reef.

Most of the villas and facilities are built overwater, however beach villas and on-land dining is an option. All villas offer a sense of privacy and seclusion, with an amazing view to the Ocean and Maldivian nature.

Six Senses Laamu offers a wide range of dining options, with cuisines from around the world, a swimming pool with a sunken bar, an ice cream parlor, an overwater wine cellar and a signature Chill bar.

Many activities, excursions and options are available for everyone to enjoy, both over water and underwater, in addition to the Six Senses Spa.
