South Asian Travel Awards returns to Sri Lanka for 9th edition in September 2025

The 9th edition of the prestigious South Asian Travel Awards (SATA) is scheduled to take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from 19th to 20th September 2025.

Over the years, SATA has been hosted in iconic destinations across South Asia, including Mount Lavinia, Galle City, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Addu City, Kathmandu, and Malé Atoll. The upcoming edition marks a much-anticipated return to Sri Lanka, celebrating excellence and innovation in the region’s travel and hospitality industry.

This year, SATA has seen strong participation from six South Asian countries, with over 500 nominations received across various tourism categories, including properties and service providers. The grand Gala Ceremony will be held in the vibrant capital city of Colombo.

SATA continues to gain regional recognition and is proudly endorsed by over 18 tourism organisations and boards, including the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB), Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO), and The Hotels Association of Sri Lanka (THASL).
