Sun Siyam Group has announced the appointment of Aisha Faiz and Ahmed Ibrahim, as part of its efforts to strengthen internal leadership and support long-term organisational growth.

Aisha Faiz has been appointed Head of the Planning Department, where she will oversee the strategic direction and management of the function, with a focus on efficiency, accountability and operational performance. She brings over 20 years of experience in finance and business, including expertise in procurement, logistics and operational management.

In addition to her new role, Faiz will continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer of Sun Siyam Group, maintaining oversight of the Purchasing Department. This dual responsibility is expected to support closer alignment between procurement and project planning functions, contributing to a more integrated operational approach.

Faiz holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business Management from Marymount Manhattan College in New York and a Master of Business Administration from Edith Cowan University in Australia. She is also a member of the Sigma Beta Delta and Alpha Chi honour societies. Her professional background includes more than a decade of experience in Singapore, where she led her own business ventures, alongside her longstanding involvement with Sun Siyam Group since its early stages.

Ahmed Ibrahim has been promoted to Director of Human Resources and Talent Development, following his role as Director of Training and Development since March 2025. In that capacity, he contributed to the advancement of staff development initiatives, training programmes and organisational culture.

In his new position, Ibrahim will oversee human resources and talent development functions across the group, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, learning and development, and organisational planning. He brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent development and organisational strategy.

Ibrahim holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Westminster in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in HR and Administrative Management from La Trobe University in Australia. He is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has been recognised among the Top 100 Global HR Minds at the World HRD Congress. He also serves as President and Co-Founder of the Maldives Association of HR Professionals.

Commenting on the appointments, Deepak Booneady said both individuals have contributed to the group’s development, adding that their appointments reflect the organisation’s approach to recognising and developing internal talent. He noted that their combined expertise in operations and people management will support the group’s continued growth and long-term objectives.

The appointments form part of Sun Siyam Group’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership structure and support future expansion.
