The Standard, Maldives appoints of Surya Bhan Verma as new IT Manager

The Standard, Maldives, has announced the appointment of Surya Bhan Verma as its new IT Manager.

Surya joins the resort from Hyatt Hotels in Dubai, where he oversaw systems and infrastructure across multiple properties. With an extensive background in hotel technology, he brings a wealth of experience in systems integration, network management, data security, and operational support — all vital to maintaining seamless operations both behind the scenes and in guest-facing areas.

In his new role, Surya will lead the island’s IT operations, ensuring reliability, security, and innovative technology solutions that support all aspects of the resort’s business, from reservations and operations to guest experience.
