Tourism bodies to host I AM Maldives roadshow in Central, Eastern Europe

The National Hotels and Guesthouse Association of Maldives (NHGAM), in partnership with Visit Maldives and the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), is preparing to host the I AM Maldives roadshow across three Central and Eastern European cities: Warsaw, Bucharest, and Prague, from 17 to 21 November 2025.

The initiative will feature 26 participating properties, including resorts, hotels, guesthouses, liveaboards, and travel agents, and aims to enhance the Maldives’ presence in this expanding market.

The roadshow is designed to strengthen the Maldives’ position in the Central and Eastern European region, increase arrival numbers, and build valuable connections to support the country’s tourism sector.

“We’re excited to connect directly with travel professionals in Poland, Romania, and Czech Republic,” said Abdulla Nasheed, President of NHGAM. “This roadshow represents a focused effort to build meaningful partnerships in Central and Eastern Europe and open new pathways for travellers from these markets to experience the authentic Maldives.”

Participants will engage with travel industry professionals through presentations and networking sessions, showcasing the breadth of Maldivian tourism offerings, from local island guesthouses to luxury resort properties. The roadshow will provide market insights while establishing direct business relationships aimed at increasing arrivals from the region.
