Turkish Airlines’ Maldives flights increase to 6 per week
Turkish Airlines will increase its flight frequency between Istanbul and Malé for the 2026 summer season, adding one additional weekly service on the route.
The expanded schedule will operate from 13 May to 20 October 2026 on the Istanbul–Malé service (TK 740), with the return flight (TK 741) operating from 14 May to 21 October 2026. The additional rotation introduces a Wednesday departure from Istanbul and a Thursday departure from Malé, bringing the total number of weekly flights on the route to six.
Under the updated schedule, flight TK 740 will depart Istanbul at 20:20 and arrive in Malé at 06:30 the following day. The return service, TK 741, will depart Malé at 08:00 and arrive in Istanbul at 14:20.
The airline stated that the increase in frequency is intended to support demand from European markets and provide additional travel options. Istanbul serves as a transit hub connecting passengers to destinations in Europe, North America and other regions.
