Universal Foundation partners with Villa College for culinary scholarships
Villa College and Universal Foundation have joined forces to provide ten scholarships for students pursuing the Certificate III in Culinary Arts program starting this September.
The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), was signed by Vice Rector Dr. Ali Najeeb of Villa College and President Iyaz Waheed of Universal Foundation.
Under the terms of the agreement, Universal Foundation will fully sponsor ten students to enroll in the culinary program. Additionally, the foundation will collaborate with Villa College to promote the program and increase its visibility.
“We are thrilled to support the first batch of culinary students at Villa College,” said Iyaz Waheed, President of Universal Foundation. “Culinary arts is a field that has a significant gap in local talent in the Maldives, and we hope to contribute to developing future culinary professionals.”
Universal Foundation, primarily funded by Universal Enterprises and Universal Resorts, has been actively involved in various human development and community care projects in the Maldives. The foundation partners with both government and non-governmental organizations to expand opportunities for Maldivians.
Villa College will provide more details about the scholarship application process and eligibility criteria in the coming days.
