Kaani Hotels & Tours wins bid to develop a resort in Vaavu Atoll

Kaani Hotels & Tours has secured the bid to develop a lagoon into a luxurious resort in Vaavu Atoll.

Kaani Hotels & Tours began its journey 12 years ago with a single guesthouse and has since become a pioneer in the Maldivian guesthouse sector, known for its exceptional service and authentic experiences. The company’s dedication has fueled its success, growing its portfolio to four guesthouses with a total of 199 rooms. Two additional guesthouses, Kaani Haven Beach and Kaani Dream Beach, are slated to open in 2025, bringing their total room count to 411.

The upcoming Kaani Beach Resort promises to be a game-changer, offering 200 rooms including luxurious beach accommodations and stunning water villas. Planned as a club-style resort, it will provide guests with an unparalleled level of comfort and exclusivity while maintaining Kaani’s commitment to hospitality.

“We are incredibly proud of this achievement,” said Abdulla Nasheed, CEO of Kaani Group. “Winning the bid for the Vaavu Lagoon signifies a new chapter for Kaani Hotels. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and we’re excited to share the beauty of the Maldives with guests in a whole new way.”

This expansion not only highlights Kaani Hotels’ impressive growth but also demonstrates their evolving role in the Maldivian tourism landscape. The Kaani Beach Resort project is expected to create new opportunities for the local Vaavu Atoll economy and contribute to a rise in tourism arrivals for the Maldives.
