Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025 announced with new categories
Hotelier Maldives, the premier publication for the Maldives’ hospitality industry, has announced the second edition of the Hotelier Maldives Awards, presented by Bestbuy Maldives (BBM).
The 2025 awards announcement was made at Hotelier Maldives GM Forum 2024, held on September 19 at CROSSROADS Maldives.
Building on the success of the inaugural awards, held in April 2024, the 2025 edition will feature four additional categories: Watersports, Diving, Airport Representative, and Resort Manager, recognising even more professionals who contribute to the Maldives’ tourism and hospitality sectors.
The Hotelier Maldives Awards, presented by BBM, were first launched in 2024, drawing widespread interest from across the industry. In its debut year, the awards attracted over 300 nominations and garnered 100,000 votes from the public. These numbers reflect the growing recognition of the awards as a prestigious platform to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievements within the hospitality sector.
The newly introduced categories for 2025 aim to broaden the scope of the awards, acknowledging the critical roles played by professionals across various aspects of resort operations. With the Maldives being a renowned destination for watersports and diving, these categories will allow resorts to showcase their top talent in these specialised areas. The Airport Representative category will recognise those ensuring seamless travel experiences for visitors, while the Resort Manager category will honour the leadership and management of individuals responsible for the day-to-day operations and success of resorts.
As with the inaugural edition, the awards will continue to involve a mix of nominations from industry peers, judging by a panel of industry experts, and voting by the public, ensuring a transparent and inclusive process. The event is expected to attract even more nominations and public interest than its successful first edition.
Hotelier Maldives remains committed to recognising and celebrating the achievements of hospitality professionals who uphold the Maldives’ reputation as one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations.
