Visit Maldives hosts exclusive ‘Maldivian Night’ in Mumbai

Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) successfully hosted an exclusive ‘Maldivian Night’ at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, bringing together over 100 high-profile guests, including more than 20 leading Indian influencers, key media personalities, and renowned celebrities. This event was strategically organised alongside OTM Mumbai, India’s largest travel trade exhibition, reinforcing the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening ties with the Indian market.

India has remained a key source market for the Maldives, with Visit Maldives targeting over 300,000 Indian tourist arrivals in 2025. To achieve this ambitious goal, the organisation has implemented several strategic marketing initiatives, including an upcoming Summer Campaign, collaborations with major Indian airlines, and partnerships with leading tour operators.

The Maldivian Night featured an illustrious lineup of celebrities and influencers, including Farah Khan, Mouni Roy, Fardeen Khan, Vihaan Samat, Angad Bedi, Mandana Karimi, Shreya Pilgaonkar, Shashank Sanghavi, Richi Shah, Ruchi Soni, Shifa Merchant, Rahul Jagtiani, Thomos Pascal, Monisha, Brinda Shah, Stephanie Timmins, Paresh, Salman Merchant, and many more.

Collectively, these influencers commanded a social media reach exceeding 200 million followers, providing Visit Maldives with a powerful platform to promote the destination across India. Many of these influencers were also scheduled to visit the Maldives in the coming months as part of an extensive promotional campaign.

With India consistently ranking among the top tourist source markets for the Maldives, this initiative highlighted Visit Maldives’ commitment to deepening engagement with Indian travellers. By leveraging the influence of celebrities and content creators, the organisation showcased the Maldives as the ultimate holiday destination for Indian tourists, catering to luxury travellers, honeymooners, families, and adventure seekers alike.

Emphasising the importance of the Indian market, Ibrahim Shiuree, CEO & MD of Visit Maldives, stated that India remains a vital market for Maldivian tourism. He expressed excitement about further strengthening outreach through strategic collaborations with Indian influencers, airlines, and tour operators. The ‘Maldivian Night’ in Mumbai, he noted, served as a testament to the organisation’s commitment to the Indian market, with confidence that the 2025 campaigns would yield exceptional results.
