MATI members gain access to $5 million pandemic risk protection
Trust Edge Risk Solutions, in collaboration with Munich Re, Enquiris Raghnall Insurance Broking & Risk Management, and Solarelle Insurance, officially launched the Pandemic and Epidemic Risk Solution in Maldives.
This pioneering programme, established with an aggregate policy limit of USD 5 million, will be effective from 15th September 2025. It has been designed to provide Maldives Association of Tourism Industry (MATI) members with exclusive protection and preparedness against epidemic and pandemic risks.
The inauguration at JEN Maldives, Malé by Shangri-La was attended by senior representatives from all partner organisations, together with distinguished members of MATI. Their presence highlighted the shared commitment to safeguarding the tourism sector and ensuring greater resilience for the Maldivian economy.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in proactive risk management and reflects the stakeholders’ collective dedication to supporting the long-term sustainability of the industry. The partner institutions also encouraged all resorts and MATI members to obtain adequate coverage under the program in order to safeguard against potential revenue losses and increased operational costs arising from future disruptions.
This launch marks an important milestone in equipping businesses and institutions in the Maldives with innovative solutions to navigate future uncertainties.
