Visit Maldives showcases destination at Asian Tourism Fair 2025 in Dhaka
Visit Maldives, in collaboration with the High Commission of the Republic of Maldives in Bangladesh, took part in the Asian Tourism Fair 2025 (ATF 2025), held from 18 to 20 September in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
ATF-Dhaka is recognised as one of Asia’s leading tourism exhibitions, bringing together government bodies, private sector stakeholders, and development agencies from across the region. The fair served as a platform for business networking, partnership development, and cultural exchange.
Alongside the main B2B and B2C exhibition, ATF 2025 hosted several side events, including showcases on green initiatives, community-based tourism marts, skills conventions, seminars, workshops, and cultural performances.
Representing the Maldives under the official Visit Maldives banner, co-exhibitors promoted the destination through digital brochures, videos, and other materials, gaining direct exposure to international travel trade professionals. Resorts, hotels, and tourism-related businesses benefitted from increased visibility at one of Bangladesh’s most prominent travel fairs.
“Our presence at ATF 2025 highlighted the Maldives’ unique offerings and provided a valuable platform for our industry partners to showcase their products, strengthen networks, and engage with a wide audience,” said Ibrahim Shiuree, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Visit Maldives Corporation.
Participation at ATF 2025 reinforced the Maldives’ position as a leading tourism destination, while strengthening business-to-business and business-to-consumer linkages with government agencies, private stakeholders, and regional partners. The fair also created opportunities to generate leads and build meaningful business relationships, further enhancing the Maldives’ visibility in the Bangladeshi market and beyond.
