Alila Kothaifaru Maldives advances World of Care commitment with education and marine projects
This month, Alila Kothaifaru Maldives demonstrated its World of Care commitment through initiatives focused on enhancing the educational experience of local children and safeguarding the marine environment.
As part of its ongoing support for R. Maduvvari School on the neighbouring island of Maduvvari, the resort donated two 50-inch televisions and installed colourful cushioned flooring in two classrooms. These improvements have helped to create a more vibrant and comfortable learning space, enriching the daily experience of students while also providing long-term benefits for future generations.
In addition, the resort’s team dedicated time to protecting the island’s natural surroundings by conducting a lagoon clean-up. Working together, they removed plastic waste and other debris from the waters around the island, underscoring their commitment to preserving the fragile marine ecosystem that sustains both the community and the guest experience.
Thomas Weber, General Manager of Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, said: “At Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, we believe that true luxury goes hand in hand with responsibility. Our World of Care initiatives reflect our deep commitment to nurturing both people and place—by enriching the learning journey of local children and by protecting the fragile marine ecosystems that sustain us. It is our privilege to contribute meaningfully to the community we are part of and to the natural environment that inspires every guest experience.”
These initiatives highlight Alila Kothaifaru Maldives’ dedication to giving back in positive and practical ways. Whether working to protect the ocean or collaborating with the community to support children’s education, the resort continues to embody the spirit of partnership in driving meaningful change.
