Tripjack strengthens Maldivian focus with strategic partnership with Crown & Champa Resorts
Tripjack, one of India’s fastest-growing destination management companies, has announced a focused expansion into the Maldives, unveiling a dedicated initiative to boost the island nation’s visibility and appeal among Indian travellers.
Leading this strategic push is Manish Dua, Tripjack’s newly appointed Chief Growth Officer and a veteran of the travel industry who previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Hotels & Holidays, at TBO. Dua brings with him a forward-thinking vision to redefine how Indian travellers experience the Maldives—positioning it not merely as a luxury escape but as a diverse, accessible, and aspirational destination for a wider range of travellers.
To mark the beginning of this strategy, Tripjack recently organised its inaugural Familiarisation (FAM) trip in collaboration with Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR), one of the Maldives’ leading hospitality groups. The partnership was a deliberate choice: CCR’s extensive and varied portfolio—from welcoming four-star resorts to ultra-luxury five-star retreats—provided an ideal platform to highlight the full spectrum of Maldivian hospitality.
The FAM trip proved highly successful. Participating travel agents praised the seamless hospitality and genuine warmth of service across CCR’s properties. A particular highlight was the availability of authentic Indian cuisine, which resonated deeply with the visiting agents and underscored CCR’s commitment to catering to Indian travellers.
Reflecting on the trip’s success, Dua commented, “The feedback from our travel partners has been overwhelmingly positive. This trip has reinforced our belief that with the right partnerships and a clear strategy, we can elevate the Maldives’ appeal in the Indian market. We are excited about the immense potential that lies ahead.”
The success of the inaugural FAM trip marks just the beginning of Tripjack’s ambitions in the Maldives. The company plans to roll out a series of targeted initiatives, including additional familiarisation programmes, co-branded campaigns with resorts, and curated travel packages designed for India’s rapidly expanding segments such as family holidays, wellness escapes, and destination weddings.
CCR, recognising India as a key growth market, has welcomed the partnership. Through this collaboration, its diverse portfolio of resorts is expected to gain stronger traction within India’s competitive outbound travel sector.
Dua concluded, “With trusted partners like Crown & Champa Resorts and the enthusiasm of our travel community, we see limitless opportunities. This is only the start of a much larger journey.”
