Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives promotes Ahmed Fazeel Lauday to Assistant Director of Rooms

Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives has announced the promotion of Ahmed Fazeel Lauday to Assistant Director of Rooms, recognising his exceptional leadership, deep expertise in luxury hospitality, and commitment to creating extraordinary guest experiences.

A proud Maldivian hospitality professional, Lauday brings over 15 years of experience in luxury and lifestyle resorts across the Maldives, building a career centred on personalised service and operational excellence. Known for his ability to craft memorable guest journeys, Lauday has established himself as a true guest experience maker, combining refined service standards with the warmth and authenticity of Maldivian hospitality.

Lauday joined Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives as Front Office Manager in 2024 and within one year and seven months, has demonstrated remarkable leadership in elevating the resort’s rooms division operations and guest engagement strategies. His promotion to Assistant Director of Rooms reflects both his dedication to excellence and the trust he has earned within the organisation.

Beyond his operational expertise, Lauday is also passionate about nurturing the next generation of hospitality professionals. He served as a Butler Trainer at the Maldives Butler Academy, where he mentored aspiring butlers and shared his deep knowledge of luxury service, guest personalisation, and the art of intuitive hospitality.

Prior to joining Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives, Lauday held key leadership roles at several renowned luxury resorts in the Maldives. He served as Front Office Manager at Sun Siyam Olhuveli and The Standard, Maldives, where he was instrumental in strengthening guest satisfaction and service delivery. Earlier in his career, he was part of the pre-opening team at Patina Maldives as Butler Manager, helping shape the resort’s service philosophy from its inception.

Lauday’s extensive experience in luxury service also includes leadership roles as Butler Manager (later promoted to Front Office Manager) at Raffles Maldives, Head Butler during the pre-opening of JOALI Maldives, and Chief Butler at Vakkaru Maldives. He previously spent over four years at Cheval Blanc Randheli as Senior Butler, refining the art of bespoke service at one of the Maldives’ most prestigious ultra-luxury resorts. Lauday began his hospitality journey at W Maldives, where he served for more than five years as a Guest Service Agent, laying the foundation for his passion for guest relations and luxury hospitality.

Fluent in Dhivehi, English, and Italian, Lauday is known for his ability to connect with guests from diverse cultures while delivering highly personalised experiences.

In his new role as Assistant Director of Rooms, Lauday will oversee the resort’s rooms division operations, further enhancing service standards and ensuring that every guest experience at Sirru Fen Fushi Maldives reflects the resort’s commitment to luxury, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality.
