Amilla Maldives celebrates Hotelier Maldives Awards Airport Representative of the Year win

Amilla Maldives has marked a staff achievement at the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2026, where Airport Manager Mohamed Mihad was named Airport Representative of the Year during the gala held on 26 April.

The award recognises Mihad’s contribution to the guest journey at one of its earliest stages, as he is often among the first resort representatives to welcome guests on arrival and assist with their onward experience.

The resort said his approach reflects the wider service culture at Amilla Maldives, where guest interactions are shaped by attention to detail and a personalised approach from arrival to departure.

Shiman Mohamed, Resort Manager of Amilla Maldives, said the recognition reflected both Mihad’s individual efforts and the wider work of the team.

“We’re grateful to see Mihad’s dedication recognised in this way,” he said. “It speaks to the care our team brings to each guest journey, often in the smallest and most meaningful ways.”

Amilla Maldives was also shortlisted in several other categories at this year’s awards. Mohamed Asif was shortlisted for Finance Personality of the Year, the resort’s R.E.A.C.H initiative was shortlisted in the CSR Programme of the Year category, and the Recreation Team was shortlisted for Support Team of the Year.

The resort also expressed appreciation to the organisers, judges and those who voted in the awards.
