Universal Foundation partners with Moms Aid to support housing initiative
Universal Foundation has formalised a partnership with Moms Aid, signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), reinforcing its commitment to community development and social empowerment. The agreement was signed by Organising Secretary Fathimath Shabeeena on behalf of Universal Foundation and Executive Director Fathmath Riyasa representing Moms Aid.
Under this collaboration, Universal Foundation will serve as a Gold Sponsor for the HiyaVahi Programme, a housing development initiative dedicated to building, renovating, repairing, and refurbishing homes for vulnerable individuals across the Maldives. The programme aims to provide safe and secure living conditions, particularly for women and families facing economic hardship.
The partnership marks another significant milestone for the HiyaVahi Programme, which has already delivered several successful projects. These efforts have enabled women living in poverty to lead more stable and dignified lives. Beneficiaries are selected through a rigorous authentication and verification process to ensure that support reaches those most in need.
Moms Aid continues to play a vital role in empowering women, especially single mothers and those facing financial or social challenges, through initiatives focused on education, skill development, and social assistance.
