Sun Siyam promotes Ibrahim Baasith to Director of Operations at Vilu Reef
Sun Siyam Resorts has appointed Ibrahim Baasith as Director of Operations at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, effective 22 May 2026, as part of a series of leadership appointments across its Maldives properties.
Baasith is a long-serving member of the Sun Siyam family, having begun his career with the company in 2009 as a receptionist at Sun Siyam Iru Fushi. Over the years, he progressed through several positions, including Front Office Manager, before serving as Operations Manager at Sun Siyam Olhuveli.
In his new role at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, Baasith will focus on strengthening operational performance, enhancing the guest experience and supporting the resort’s ongoing development.
His appointment reflects a career progression built within the organisation and highlights the company’s emphasis on recognising and developing internal talent.
