TechEng rescheduled to February 2027
TechEng, the Maldives’ dedicated exhibition for engineering and technology solutions in the hospitality industry, has been rescheduled and will now take place from 1–3 February 2027 at Central Park, Hulhumalé.
The event, originally scheduled for October 2026, has been rescheduled due to unforeseen venue circumstances beyond the organisers’ control. Following careful consideration, the new dates have been selected to ensure the exhibition can be delivered at the high standard expected by exhibitors, partners, and industry professionals.
Organised by Omnibox Events, TechEng has established itself as a specialised B2B platform connecting hospitality operators with leading suppliers of engineering systems, technology solutions, infrastructure, and technical services.
Building on the success of its inaugural edition, TechEng will once again bring together resort owners and operators, hotel developers, consultants, engineers, procurement professionals, and solution providers from across the Maldives and the region.
The exhibition will continue to showcase innovations across key sectors including power generation and distribution, water systems, mechanical systems, ELV and ICT, wastewater and sewage, transport and logistics, hospitality software, auxiliary services and equipment, and professional service providers.
The first edition attracted more than 500 industry attendees, featured 30+ exhibiting brands, and facilitated over 100 business meetings, demonstrating the industry’s demand for a dedicated platform focused on hospitality engineering and technology.
Mohamed Shinan, Managing Director of Omnibox Events, said the decision to reschedule was made after carefully evaluating the available options.
“While changing the event dates was not a decision we took lightly, our priority has always been to deliver the best possible experience for our exhibitors, partners, and visitors. The additional preparation time also provides greater flexibility for participating organisations to plan product launches, demonstrations, and networking activities, allowing us to deliver an even stronger edition of TechEng,” he said.
Preparations for the event will continue over the coming months, with exhibitor registrations, sponsorship opportunities, and partnership discussions remaining open.
TechEng 2027 will take place from 1–3 February 2027 at Central Park, Hulhumalé.
