W Maldives appoints Krishna Perumalsamy as Director of Engineering
W Maldives has appointed Krishna Perumalsamy as Director of Engineering, bringing more than 23 years of engineering leadership experience across the international hospitality industry.
Perumalsamy has held engineering roles across India, Saudi Arabia, Cambodia and Vietnam, including positions at Marriott International properties. His experience covers engineering operations, sustainability initiatives, operational efficiency and large-scale engineering management.
Prior to joining W Maldives, Perumalsamy served as Cluster Director of Engineering, overseeing engineering operations across a portfolio of 10 hotels. The role involved managing engineering functions across multiple properties and supporting operational performance.
In his new position at W Maldives, Perumalsamy will oversee the resort’s engineering operations, with a focus on operational efficiency, sustainability and innovation. He will also support the resort’s ongoing development and efforts to enhance guest experiences through engineering and infrastructure management.
Announcing his appointment, W Maldives highlighted Perumalsamy’s experience in engineering strategy and multi-property operations, noting that he will play an important role in supporting the resort’s continued evolution.
His appointment strengthens the resort’s leadership team as W Maldives continues to focus on operational performance, sustainability and the development of its guest offerings.
