Aishath Nurain Janah named chair of MMPRC

Aishath Nurain Janah, daughter of Mohamed Ali Janah, Principal Advisor to the President on Trade and Investment, has assumed the role of Chairman at the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC).

The appointment of Nurain to this position took place on Wednesday, with MMPRC’s official ‘X’ account extending a warm welcome to their new chairman.

Primarily residing in New Zealand, Nurain is actively engaged in leadership coaching and consulting alongside her new role. Additionally, she holds the position of Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Hotels and Resorts Investment Maldives.

Nurain holds a Master’s degree in Professional Accounting from Auckland University of Technology, complemented by a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Accounting from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Her academic background also includes a bachelor’s degree in human geography. She has further contributed through participation on several trustee boards in New Zealand.
