Bank of Maldives returns as Banking Partner for Hotelier Maldives GM Forum 2026
Bank of Maldives (BML) has signed as the Banking Partner for the Hotelier Maldives General Managers (GM) Forum 2026, continuing its partnership with the country’s leading hospitality publication for one of the tourism industry’s key annual gatherings.
This marks the second consecutive year BML will participate in the GM Forum as Banking Partner. The Bank has also served as Banking Partner of the Hotelier Maldives Awards in 2025 and 2026.
The 10th edition of the Hotelier Maldives GM Forum will be held on 5 October 2026 at CROSSROADS Maldives, bringing together general managers and senior executives from the hospitality sector, alongside representatives from government and tourism-related organisations.
This year’s Forum will be held under the theme “Resilience and Reinvention: Talent, Technology & Transformation”, focusing on some of the key issues shaping the future of the Maldivian tourism industry. Discussions will examine workforce development and retention, the role of technology and automation in hospitality, evolving business models, and how resorts can respond to changing market and operational conditions.
Commenting on the partnership, Aishath Zamra Zahir, Chief Commercial Officer of Bank of Maldives, said: “GM Forum provides an important platform for industry leaders to exchange perspectives on the opportunities and challenges ahead. Bank of Maldives is pleased to continue our partnership with Hotelier Maldives and support a forum that brings together the people leading the country’s hospitality sector. We look forward to engaging with the industry and contributing to conversations around its continued development.”
As the Maldives’ largest financial institution, BML provides a range of banking and financial services to businesses operating across the tourism and hospitality sector.
Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, said the continued partnership reflected the role BML plays within the wider tourism economy and its support for Hotelier Maldives’ industry platforms.
“We are pleased to welcome Bank of Maldives back as the Banking Partner of the GM Forum for a second year. BML has also supported the Hotelier Maldives Awards as Banking Partner over the past two years, and this continued collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to platforms that recognise hospitality professionals and create meaningful dialogue among industry leaders,” he added.
The invite-only Forum will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and presentations involving tourism leaders, policymakers, industry experts and senior executives.
The GM Forum forms part of Hotelier Maldives’ wider programme of industry initiatives, which also includes the Hotelier Maldives Awards, recognising professionals working across the country’s hospitality sector.
