BML Startup Grant applications close Tuesday; MVR 500,000 available for each winner
The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced that applications for its 2026 Startup Grant programme will close on Tuesday, 10 November.
Applications can be submitted by email to startupgrant@bml.com.mv until 2pm on Tuesday.
Under the programme, BML will select two recipients, each of whom will receive a grant of MVR 500,000 to establish or expand a business.
In addition to financial assistance, the bank will provide each recipient with one year of mentorship support, including guidance from a dedicated relationship manager to assist with business development.
The programme is open to individuals seeking to establish a business and newly registered businesses.
BML introduced the Startup Grant programme in 2022 to provide funding for entrepreneurs looking to start a business or expand an existing business that has been operating for less than one year.
The grants are provided without repayment obligations, allowing recipients to use the funding to develop their businesses.
