Centara highlights Maldives portfolio at India trade engagement event
Centara Hotels & Resorts recently concluded the fourth edition of its Rewards and Recognition Night, reinforcing its commitment to building long-term, value-driven partnerships across the Indian travel trade.
The multi-city engagement brought together leading B2B and B2C travel partners across key Indian markets, celebrating a year of collaboration, performance, and shared growth.
Since its inception in 2022, the initiative has evolved into a key annual platform for Centara in India, strengthening engagement across strategic source markets while reinforcing destination storytelling across Thailand, the Maldives, and Japan.
A key focus this year was the continued elevation of Centara’s Maldives portfolio within its international network, with Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives, Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives by The Centara Collection, Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives and Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives taking centre stage in discussions with the Indian trade. This reflects the growing strength and relevance of the Maldives as a core leisure destination within Centara’s regional strategy.
Francesco Pompilio, Cluster General Manager, Centara Ras Fushi Resort & Spa Maldives and Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa Maldives, shared his perspective on the engagement, stating, “The Maldives continues to play a pivotal role within Centara’s international portfolio, supported by sustained demand from the Indian market and the strength of our trade relationships. Our focus remains on deepening collaboration with key partners while clearly differentiating our resort experiences, from vibrant lifestyle-led escapes to immersive natural island sanctuaries, ensuring we remain closely aligned with evolving traveller expectations and market dynamics.”
The initiative reflects Centara’s structured approach to market engagement, recognising high-performing B2B and B2C partners, while also acknowledging the increasingly influential role of destination management companies across key source markets.
The programme concluded with recognition of the Centara Champions 2026: TBO, Island Life, Asahi, and TravelBullz, honoured for their outstanding performance and contribution over the past year.
