COMO Hotels and Resorts appoints Peter Nilsson as Managing Director for Maldives properties
COMO Hotels and Resorts has appointed Peter Nilsson as Managing Director for its Maldives properties, where he will oversee COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi. Nilsson brings a wealth of experience and a dedication to excellence, aimed at ensuring outstanding guest experiences and operational alignment across COMO’s Maldivian resorts.
A Swedish hotelier with a personable approach to life, Nilsson is well-acquainted with the Maldives. With over 30 years in luxury hospitality, he has managed high-end hotels and resorts across Asia, the Indian Ocean, and the Pacific, working with prestigious brands like Ritz-Carlton, Soneva, Six Senses, Conrad, and Anantara. Before joining COMO, he served as Chief Executive Officer at Banwa Private Island, an exclusive estate in Palawan, Philippines.
COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi, both located on private islands in the Maldives, offer guests immersive experiences, highlighted by COMO Shambhala’s award-winning holistic wellness services. COMO Cocoa Island, situated in South Malé Atoll, is an intimate retreat featuring 33 overwater villas designed with deep respect for the surrounding environment. COMO Maalifushi, the only resort in Thaa Atoll, offers 59 overwater and beach accommodations and a vibrant selection of activities, including diving, surfing, and fly fishing.
