COMET, a nine-month immersive journey, is designed by Constance Hotels & Resorts to develop future leaders in luxury hospitality. More than just a training initiative, it serves as a career accelerator, providing structured mentorship, hands-on exposure across departments, and the opportunity to drive real, impactful change. Participants are given the platform to challenge existing methods, propose solutions, and contribute to shaping the future of hospitality.

Among them, Mohamed Fayaz stands out as a shining example of how innovation emerges when talent is nurtured. During his time in COMET, he identified inefficiencies in traditional housekeeping operations—particularly the physical strain and logistical challenges posed by outdated service methods. Determined to create a solution, he conceptualized Clean Cart Express, an initiative designed to enhance workflow efficiency, improve team well-being, and integrate sustainable practices.

Officially introduced at Constance Moofushi on December 1, 2024, Clean Cart Express replaces conventional wheelbarrows with a streamlined, ergonomic system designed for greater mobility and organization. By optimizing the way housekeeping services are delivered, the initiative ensures a more seamless guest experience while significantly improving working conditions for team members. Beyond operational enhancements, it also aligns with Constance Moofushi’s sustainability objectives using biodegradable cleaning solutions, reusable materials, and energy-efficient equipment.

Constance Moofushi is a private island in Maldives’ South Ari Atoll, a diving paradise 35 minutes by seaplane from Malé. An all-inclusive eco-resort with barefoot-gastronomic dining in two restaurants, and two tropical bars.
