Grand Park Kodhipparu Launches Educational Series

In celebration of Children’s Day 2022, Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives has launched its first Playshop Series in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism. The resort hosted a group of children from Ahmadiyya International School for an educational tour of the island.

The tour aimed at providing information of resort operations for students who are interested in pursuing a career in hospitality. The students had the chance to meet the management team and observe the key operational aspects of the island resort. They also participated in an interactive training session with the resident marine biologist, focusing on the importance of eco-consciousness in the industry.

“It is pivotal that resorts contribute and invest in the future of the hospitality industry which is the main economic contributor of the nation, and one that will only be more important in the next ten years. And it is our responsibility to shape the young minds in the sustainable direction from the on-set,” said Raffaele Solferino, General Manager at Grand Park Kodhipparu

The children also met the resort’s Human Resources, Learning and Development team for an engaging question-and-answer session during lunch. The first session of Playshop series was successful as the children were engaged and inspired throughout the experience. Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives aims to continue the series as a permanent addition to the resort’s Regenerative Tourism Project.
