HIH brings Maldivian traditions to MACL team in pre-opening tribute

The team at Hulhule Island Hotel (HIH) paid a special visit to the new passenger terminal of Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), bringing with them a thoughtfully curated array of traditional Maldivian cuisine as a gesture of appreciation for the dedicated team working towards the terminal’s imminent opening. The initiative, aptly named Dhekumaadhiun, was a heartfelt expression of gratitude and encouragement, recognising the tireless efforts behind this significant national development.

In a vibrant display of Maldivian culture, the HIH team arrived in traditional attire, bearing authentic Maldivian dishes prepared by the hotel’s chefs and presented in handwoven palm-leaf baskets. The offerings included local delicacies such as bondibai, kulhi faaroshi, maafuh, among others—sharing not only food, but the warmth and spirit of island hospitality with the MACL team. The visit was designed to foster a sense of community and cultural connection during this crucial phase of preparations.
