Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa appoints Mark Eletr as General Manager
Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Mark Eletr as general manager, effective 1 July 2026. A seasoned hospitality leader with more than 30 years of international experience, Eletr will lead the resort’s operations, guest experience, commercial strategy and team culture.
Eletr brings a strong track record across resort leadership, hotel openings, repositioning projects and complex island operations. His career spans Australia, Asia, the Middle East and the Maldives, with senior leadership roles at leading hospitality groups including Anantara Hotels & Resorts and InterContinental Hotels Group. Known for his people-first leadership style, Eletr has built and led high-performing teams across some of the world’s most competitive resort destinations.
His appointment brings valuable luxury resort expertise to Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa. Eletr’s career highlights include leading the refurbishment and reopening of Hayman Island by InterContinental, as well as the pre-opening of Crowne Plaza Phu Quoc Starbay in Vietnam. These experiences position him well to guide Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa as it continues to strengthen its appeal among couples, families and multigenerational travellers.
Sustainability and industry engagement have also been consistent focuses throughout Eletr’s career. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Maldives Association of Tourism Industry, contributing to industry conversations that continue to shape one of the world’s leading tourism destinations.
