The cover story for this issue is Home Grown Hospitality Brands, in which Hotelier Maldives presents an overview of some of the most exciting Maldivian hotel and resort names. Here Hotelier Maldives takes a look at how the country has fine-tuned its very own style of service culture – one that is now mature and ready for global export.

New this issue, Hotelier Maldives has introduced an exciting new market analysis segment in partnership with JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group. This edition, the company’s Executive Vice President Nihat Ercan writes of the drive amongst Maldivian resorts to provide their guests with unique, curated experiences.

In addition, issue 9 also presents an exciting review of Amilla Fushi, one of the hottest resort openings in recent months. Further afield, we visit Resplendent Ceylon’s Cape Weligama in southern Sri Lanka to find a newly opened resort that offers an understated elegance that oozes Sri Lanka charm.

Director of Global Education for Hospitality Excellence, Virginia Casale joins Hotelier Maldives this issue to interview Renato W. Chizzola, General Manager at Cheval Blanc Randheli. Their discussion of the importance of service excellence makes for a very compelling read.
