Hulhule Island Hotel welcomes back Ibrahim Naeem as Executive Chef

Hulhule Island Hotel has welcomed back Ibrahim Naeem as the new Executive Chef.

Ibrahim previously worked as the Sous Chef and Kitchen Executive at the hotel from 2016 to 2019. Known for his innovative approach and exceptional leadership, he brings a wealth of experience and numerous accolades to his new role.

During his previous tenure, Ibrahim successfully led a strong team, most of whom were Maldivians, achieving remarkable accomplishments in the Hotel Asia and FHAM competitions. His unwavering commitment to maintaining exceptional food quality and ensuring customer satisfaction, along with his expertise in hiring and managing kitchen staff, left a lasting impact on Hulhule Island Hotel.

Ibrahim has continued to excel in his career over the years, achieving several noteworthy accomplishments. He served as the Director of Operations at KHG Hotels, and since 2023, has held the significant position of Country President of the World Association of Master Chefs, showcasing his influence and leadership in the culinary industry at a national level. Additionally, he has been a certified judge with the World Chef Organisation since 2021.

Ibrahim has received numerous accolades throughout his career. Notably, he won a Gold Medal and 1st place at the 2012 Hotel Asia Competition, as well as the Most Outstanding Chef Award at the 2014 Hotel Asia Competition. He also secured 1st place at the Belt & Road Gastro Diplomacy Culinary Competition in China in 2017, among many other recognitions.

Academically accomplished as well, Ibrahim has completed fine dining and molecular gastronomy training in India. He holds a food protection manager certification from the American National Standards Institute and has undergone SATS Yellow Belt Training in Singapore.
