Kagi Maldives appoints Areef Ahmed as General Manager

Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa has announced the promotion of Areef Ahmed to the position of General Manager. Areef brings over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, having joined the Crown and Champa Resorts (CCR) family in February 2000.

Throughout his tenure at CCR, Areef has held various positions at Meeru Maldives Resort Island, demonstrating his versatility and dedication to the company. His roles included Corporate Trainee, Special Project Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Operations Manager, Sales and Marketing Manager, and HR Manager. His exceptional performance and unwavering commitment have culminated in this well-deserved promotion to General Manager at Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa.

Areef’s journey to leadership has been marked by continuous learning and professional development. He completed the prestigious General Managers Program at Cornell University, New York, USA, in June 2023. Areef also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Hospitality Management, further enhancing his qualifications to lead Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa.

His 25 years of industry experience, combined with his exceptional communication skills, make him the ideal leader to guide Kagi Maldives Resort and Spa to new heights of success.
