Komandoo Maldives Resort appoints Ahmed Naseem as General Manager

Komandoo Maldives Resort, a member of the Crown & Champa Resorts (CCR) portfolio, has announced the appointment of Ahmed ‘Beyya’ Naseem as its new General Manager. Bringing extensive experience and deep-rooted expertise in the hospitality industry, Naseem is set to lead the team at Komandoo, one of the Maldives’ most cherished adults-only island getaways.

Prior to joining Komandoo, Naseem served at Milaidhoo Island Maldives in progressive leadership roles. From April 2019 to January 2022, he held the position of Front Office Manager, and from January 2022 to November 2024, he excelled as the Executive Assistant Manager, where he contributed significantly to enhancing guest experiences and operational efficiency.

Naseem’s career in the Maldivian and international hospitality sector spans over two decades. He began at the age of 17 as a waiter at Kurumba Maldives, later transitioning to the food and beverage departments of leading resorts such as Paradise Island Resort & Spa (now Villa Nautica), Sun Island Resort & Spa (now Villa Park), Bandos Maldives, Soneva Fushi, Huvafen Fushi Maldives, and W Maldives. His versatility and commitment paved the way for his shift into front office operations.

In 2008, Naseem joined the pre-opening team at Six Senses Zighy Bay in Oman, marking his first venture into front office responsibilities. He subsequently served as a butler at Soneva Fushi before moving to Anantara Kihavah Villas, where he rose through the ranks to Villa Host Manager. His successful tenure with Anantara continued as he took on the role of Villa Operations Manager at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar in Oman.

In 2017, Naseem returned to the Maldives, joining Kanuhura Maldives as Villa Manager and later becoming the Front Office Manager. His journey then led him to Vakkaru Maldives, where he worked before his impactful tenure at Milaidhoo Island Maldives.

As General Manager of Komandoo Maldives Resort, Naseem’s extensive background and leadership are expected to drive the resort’s continued success and elevate its reputation as a premier destination for couples and honeymooners.
