Krug to host six course champagne and food pairing dinner at One&Only Reethi Rah
September 16th will see the world-renowned wine makers Krug hosting a special dinner at One&Only Reethi Rah, to celebrate the art of champagne and food pairing. The six-course meal, which is set to be hosted at the resort’s wine cellar, Epicure, will be attended by Country Manager Michael Wimmer from Krug, and the General Manager of the resort, Jean-Luc Naret.
Krug is most well known for its champagnes. Founded by Joseph Krug in 1843, the champagne house is based principally in Reims, the main city in France’s Champagne region. Krug Champagne is one of the famous champagne houses that form part of the ‘Grandes Marques’.
At the Epicure wine-cellar, more than 500 labels from some of the finest wine producers throughout the world are on offer. Stored in two temperature-controlled walk-in wine cellars are more than 4,000 bottles from the famed regions of California, the Châteaux of Bordeaux, Italy, the lush wineries of Australasia and the wine lands of South Africa. The wine cellar, which also doubles as a private dining room is the ideal place for small private parties.
Speaking about the special dinner, Jean-LucNaret said: “We are pleased to host our first wine dinner in celebrating the resort’s 10th anniversary. Our team of chefs have put together the best of each dish and our team of sommeliers have paired the best matching Krug champagne to present to our guests. It is also an honour to have Mr. Michael Wimmer from Krug with us.”
In addition to hosting these sumptuous dinners, where guests can celebrate the art of wood and wine pairing, the resort also offers tutored wine tasting, wine master classes, and Sake Tasting events.
