Kurumba Maldives appoints Morten Junior as General Manager

Kurumba Maldives has announced the appointment of Morten Junior as its new General Manager. With over three decades worth of experience in the hospitality industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role.

With extensive experience working for some of the world’s premier hotel brands, including One&Only, Radisson, Anantara, and IHG, Morten has crafted an impressive career that spans multiple continents. His hospitality journey has taken him from Germany and Denmark to the UAE, Maldives, Czech Republic, Thailand, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and China. His unique perspective and diverse global experiences allow him to build meaningful relationships and enhance collaboration across different cultures.

Morten’s leadership style is focused on creating personalised experiences for guests while ensuring the highest level of service standards. He is an engaged leader with a sharp business acumen. He thrives in team settings, inspiring and energising those around him. His visionary mindset and passion drive him to achieve remarkable results.

A Danish National, Morten’s passion for hospitality and dedication to excellence can be traced back to his educational background. He holds a Hotel Specialist diploma from the Bergius Technical College in Frankfurt, Germany, as well as a business diploma from Copenhagen Business College in Denmark. His strong academic foundation, coupled with his hands-on experience, has enabled him to excel in his career while making a positive impact on properties he has worked with in the past.
