Maldives TV named Official Media Partner for Hotelier Maldives 2025 events
Hotelier Maldives has announced Maldives TV, operated by Public Service Media (PSM), as the Official Media Partner for two of its flagship events in 2025 – the Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025, presented by Bestbuy Maldives (BBM), and the Hotelier Maldives General Managers (GM) Forum 2025.
The agreement formalising the partnership was signed on Wednesday by Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, and Abdulla Yamin, Deputy Managing Director of PSM.
Ali Naafiz, Editor of Hotelier Maldives, said: “We are delighted to partner with Maldives TV and PSM once again to bring wider visibility to the people and conversations shaping the hospitality industry in the Maldives. Their nationwide reach and commitment to public service broadcasting will help amplify the stories of industry professionals and highlight key developments discussed at the GM Forum.”
Ibrahim Nasreen, Managing Director of Public Service Media, added: “PSM is proud to support platforms that celebrate the Maldives’ most vital sector – tourism. By working with Hotelier Maldives on the Awards and GM Forum, we aim to spotlight the individuals and ideas that continue to drive innovation, resilience, and excellence across the industry.”
The Hotelier Maldives Awards 2025, scheduled to take place in May, will honour outstanding professionals working across the Maldives’ tourism and hospitality industry. The inaugural edition of the Awards was held in 2024, attracting over 300 nominations and more than 100,000 public votes.
The 2025 edition builds on that momentum, with nominations surpassing 450 across various categories. Four new award categories have been introduced this year.
Judging for the 2025 awards was carried out between February 20 and March 15. Public voting for shortlisted closed on April 25 with more than 600,000 votes. Winners will be selected through a combination of judges’ scores (60%) and public votes (40%) and revealed during a gala ceremony in May 2025.
The Hotelier Maldives GM Forum 2025, meanwhile, will bring together general managers, corporate leaders, and key decision-makers from resorts and the wider hospitality industry to discuss pressing issues and share insights on the future of tourism in the Maldives.
