One&Only Reethi Rah makes new executive appointments

The luxury resort welcomes Morgan Martinello as Director of Food & Beverage, Susanne Brunner as Director of Rooms and Ahmed Ali as Director of Engineering.

Martinello is an Italian national and joins One&Only Reethi Rah from Kurumba Maldives. He has previously worked at PER AQUUM Niyama in the Maldives. Martinello has also worked extensively throughout the Middle East for other five-star hoteliers, including Kempinski.

“With his new assignment at One&Only Reethi Rah, he will be charge of the resort’s 6 restaurants and bars and approximately 110 colleagues in food and beverage team. With fresh ideas and inspiration, Morgan plans to offer exciting new dining concepts on resort,” the resort said in a statement.

Brunner, the newly appointed Director of Rooms, hails from Germany and is an experienced hospitality professional in rooms division and hotel pre-opening experiences in remote island locations. Brunner joins the resort from Maritim Resort & Spa Mauritius, where she was the Assistant to Management for Rooms. She also oversaw the pre-opening of Cheval Blanc Randheli Maldives as the Front Office Manager.

“Having an experience for over 6 years in Rooms Division/Front Office Management, Brunner will be responsible for the overall functioning of the rooms division and will spearhead various sections such as front office, housekeeping and guest services.”

Director of Engineering, Ali, joins Reethi Rah with over 13 years of experience in engineering and projects, with over 8 years’ experience in managing resort engineering operations. Prior to joining One&Only Reethi Rah, Ali was the Director of Engineering at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and Cluster Chief Engineer for Anantara Resorts in the Maldives.
