Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa appoints Patrick Krauth as General Manager

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa has appointed Patrick Krauth as General Manager, bringing more than two decades of international hospitality experience across luxury hotels and resorts in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

Krauth joins the resort following more than three years at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort in Costa Rica, where he most recently served as Resort Manager from July 2024 to October 2026. He initially joined the property in June 2023 as Executive Assistant Manager, overseeing food and beverage operations, before progressing to the Resort Manager position.

Prior to his tenure in Costa Rica, Krauth served as Executive Assistant Manager at Grand Hyatt Amman in Jordan from February 2022 to June 2023. His career with Hyatt also includes four years as Director of Food & Beverage at Park Hyatt Busan in South Korea, from February 2018 to January 2022, and more than three years in the same position at Park Hyatt Sydney in Australia, between December 2014 and January 2018.

Earlier, he held the position of Assistant Director of Food & Beverage at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Villas from August 2012 to December 2014. He also served as Banquet Manager at Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires in Argentina between May 2010 and October 2012.

Krauth’s hospitality career includes experience with Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica, where he held restaurant management positions between 2007 and 2010. Before that, he worked at Park Hyatt Washington DC and Park Hyatt Chicago in various food and beverage management roles, including Restaurant Manager at Blue Duck Tavern and Assistant Restaurant Manager at NoMI.

He began his career at Grand Hyatt Berlin, undertaking an apprenticeship in August 2000 before progressing through restaurant service and supervisory positions. His educational background includes studies at the Brillat-Savarin School, a vocational institution specialising in hotel and restaurant management, as well as Cornell University.

Throughout his career, Krauth has gained experience in food and beverage management, resort operations and hospitality leadership across properties within Hyatt’s luxury and lifestyle portfolios. His professional background includes assignments in both city hotels and destination resorts, with his most recent leadership positions focused on broader hotel operations.

Announcing his appointment, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa highlighted Krauth’s international hospitality experience and his appreciation for the ocean and destinations connected to their natural surroundings.

The resort said his leadership aligns with its “Our Living Island” philosophy, which places emphasis on the island’s natural environment, marine biodiversity and connections between guests and the destination.

In his new role, Krauth will lead the resort’s operations and team, with a focus on guest experiences and further developing the property’s positioning within the luxury hospitality market.

Located on Hadahaa Island in North Huvadhu Atoll, Gaafu Alifu Atoll, Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is a luxury resort within Hyatt’s Park Hyatt portfolio. The property is surrounded by a 360-degree house reef, providing guests with direct access to coral formations and marine life from different points around the island.

The resort features 51 villas, including beach and overwater accommodation, as well as the three-bedroom Kiaali Residence. The residence is positioned above the house reef and features a private infinity pool, direct ocean access and personalised butler service.

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa offers a range of dining experiences, including The Dining Room, which serves international cuisine; The Island Grill, specialising in grilled seafood and meats; and KOI, an overwater Japanese restaurant. The resort also provides private dining experiences, including beachfront dinners and treehouse dining overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Its wellness facilities include The Vidhun Spa, which offers Ayurvedic therapies, Maldivian-inspired treatments and wellness programmes. Other activities include diving, snorkelling, freediving, marine excursions and experiences highlighting the natural environment of Huvadhu Atoll.

The resort’s “Our Living Island” concept focuses on preserving the island’s natural setting while offering experiences connected to marine conservation, local culture and the surrounding ecosystem.

Krauth’s appointment marks a new phase in the resort’s leadership as Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa continues to develop its guest experiences and strengthen its positioning as a luxury destination centred on nature, wellness and marine exploration.
