Qatar Airways unveils Premium Lounge in Dubai airport

Qatar Airways has unveiled its Premium Lounge at the Dubai International Airport for first and business class passengers.
“With its new Premium Lounge offering, Qatar Airways is cementing its presence in Dubai and providing passengers travelling between Qatar and the emirate with an exclusive retreat while waiting in the ultra-modern Concourse D,” the Qatari national carrier said in a press statement.
The Qatar Airways Dubai Premium Lounge is situated near Gate 15 in Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D. In addition to first and business class passengers, the airline’s Privilege Club Platinum and Gold members are also encouraged to enjoy the lounge’s facilities, which are set within a modern and a sophisticated space for travellers to relax and rejuvenate before their journey.
During the official opening of Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Airports, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and Chairman and CEO of Emirates Group, visited the Premium Lounge for a tour.
Decorated with artistic Arabic calligraphy, Mediterranean-style tiles and calming water fountains, the Dubai Premium Lounge serves fresh international cuisine and features private family zones, shower facilities, spacious seating areas.

His visit truly sets the tone for the level of service we will provide to our First and Business Class passengers, and our Privilege Club members when they enjoy these exquisite facilities,” said Akbar Al Baker, Group Chief Executive at Qatar Airways.

According to the airline, the opening of the Qatar Airways Dubai Premium Lounge coincided with the Arabian Travel Market. The airline hosted visitors in its state-of-the-art exhibition stand to experience its signature elements, which all travel and tourism professionals want to see and experience, such as Business Class and First Class seat displays, as well as new features including an interactive global route network display and a holographic A350 model controlled through with ‘swipe’ or ‘gesture’ technology.
The airline’s latest brand campaign theme ‘Going Places Together’ was the core theme of Qatar Airways’ participation, reflected in the redesign and activities, with the focus on bringing travellers closer together.
Presently, Qatar Airways flies 133 times weekly to Dubai’s two airports, with 15 daily flights from Doha to Dubai International Airport.
