Reethi Beach Resort wins at Hotel Asia International Culinary Challenge 2024

Reethi Beach Resort has announced its remarkable achievements at the 18th edition of the Hotel Asia 2024 Exhibition & International Culinary Challenge. This premier event within the Maldives’ hospitality sector took place on May 13, 14, and 15, 2024, at the Dharubaaruge Exhibition Hall, & Maldives National University in Malé (MNU). The event saw participation from over 800 culinary professionals across 21 categories, representing more than 300 local and international exhibitors in the food and hospitality industry.

In a display of exceptional culinary talent, the chefs from Reethi Beach Resort secured an impressive total of 17 medals across various categories. Sisira Kumara won gold medals in both Fruit & Vegetable Carving and Artistic Showpiece, and he was awarded the title of Best Artist.

Anarul Sekh earned silver medals in Hot Cooking – Beef and Hot Cooking – Lamb. Sisira Kumara also received a silver medal in Bread & Pastry Display. Rubin Star Dennis secured silver medals in Hot Cooking – Lamb and Hot Cooking – Lobster. Meghna Dey won a silver medal in the Tea Challenge. Ahmed Areeb and Hassan Sameer each received a silver medal in Creative Table Décor.

Bronze medals were awarded to Binara Madushan Jayasinghe T.Y.G. for Hot Cooking – Beef and Hot Cooking – Fish Fillet, M.A.T.M. Fernando for Creative Salad and Hot Cooking – Lamb, Mangala Madusanka Weerasinghe for Desserts and Decorated Cake, and Madusha Priyadarshana for Iced Mocktail.
