Reethi Rah Resort Pvt. Ltd. appoints Rasa Sangheran as Asset Manager

Reethi Rah Resort Pvt. Ltd., the owner of the luxurious One&Only Reethi Rah Maldives, has announced the appointment of Rasa Sangheran as its new Asset Manager. Rasa brings a wealth of experience within the Kerzner International family to this crucial role, having worked at various One&Only resorts across the globe.

Reporting to Managing Director, Imran Ali (Issa), Rasa will focus on developing strategic business plans alongside both the Kerzner global team and the One&Only Reethi Rah executive team. This collaborative approach will prioritize the resort’s core values – Brand, Guest, Product, Place, Colleagues, and Growth – to maximize business value. Rasa will also oversee the strategic repositioning of the resort through the application of sound asset management principles.

A highly qualified professional, Rasa holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is a member of esteemed chartered management and certified accountant bodies such as CIMA and ACCA. His career journey began in 2001 at One&Only Kanuhura, Maldives, within the Kerzner family. Over the years, he has skillfully navigated various roles, including corporate finance in the UK and FLL, where he provided operational finance support. Notably, he played a key role in the successful openings of One&Only Cape Town and One&Only The Palm, Dubai. Additionally, he honed his expertise across One&Only resorts in Mauritius, Mexico, and the Bahamas. Returning to the Maldives in 2013, Rasa led the resort’s finance team, eventually taking on the responsibility of managing its financial assets. His decade-long dedication has been instrumental in the continued success of One&Only Reethi Rah.

Rasa’s passion extends far beyond financial expertise. He has actively cultivated knowledge in design, project management, food and beverage operations, with a particular interest in exploring new culinary experiences. This dedication, coupled with his passion for exploring new destinations and hotel brands, has shaped him into a well-rounded hotelier.

Rasa’s unwavering commitment to developing local talent and initiating impactful CSR projects has garnered him the prestigious “Travel Personality of the Year 2017” award by the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO).
