Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort appoints Andrew Cheng as Assistant Director of Sales

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Andrew Cheng as the new Assistant Director of Sales. Andrew brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Sales & Marketing as well as Revenue Management, with over 12 years of distinguished service in the hospitality industry.

Andrew’s journey began at Happy Planet Ltd in Mauritius, where he made significant contributions as the Head of Groups and MICE department. Following his success there, he joined the InterContinental Mauritius Resort as a Senior Sales Manager, where he played a pivotal role in the development of Chinese, Korean, and Middle Eastern markets for the property.

Andrew holds a Master of Arts in Chinese Studies from the University of Mauritius, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language & Literature from Xiamen University in China. Additionally, he has gained proficiency in Chinese, French, and Cantonese languages. In his new role at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, Andrew will be primarily responsible for managing and driving business from the Chinese market.

Andrew’s interests and passions extend beyond his professional achievements. He is also a self-professed “Foodie,” with a keen appreciation for culinary delights from various cultural backgrounds. Additionally, he is an avid enthusiast of Formula One and football. One of Andrew’s favourite pastimes is traveling the world, immersing himself in diverse cultures and experiences, allowing him to embrace new perspectives and broaden his horizons.

Since his relocation to the picturesque Maldives, Andrew has discovered a newfound fascination with stargazing. The serene nights over Furanafushi where Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa lies have ignited his curiosity about the celestial world. As a result, he has enthusiastically delved into amateur astronomy, seeking to learn more about the wonders of the night sky and constellations.
