Sheraton Maldives’ leadership team undergo Industrial Fire Brigade Training

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The leadership team at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa have undergone an “Industrial Fire Brigade Training”, as part of an initiative to be able to provide leadership and guidance to the resort’s fire squad in the event of a fire. The programme was jointly conducted by the Loss Prevention Department, Engineering Department and Human Resource Department of the resort.

10 Heads of Departments participated in the programme, in addition to four associates from different departments; including the Hotel Manager, Director of Human Resources, Director of Loss Prevention & Transport, Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Information Technology, Director of Guest Service, Director of House Keeping, Chief Engineer, Training Manager and the Spa Manager.

“Sheraton Maldives’ leadership team strongly believe that we should be trained and must be able to lead the team in order to provide leadership and guidance throughout the process,” said Aly Naashid, Director of Loss Prevention & Transport Department at Sheraton Maldives, speaking to Hotelier Maldives.

“As members of the leadership team, we strongly believe that we have a tremendous responsibility to provide a safe and secure environment for our guests, associates, visitors, contractors and assets of our property.”

The programme was held in line with the mission of Sheraton Maldives’ Loss Prevention Department – to provide a safe and secure environment for associates, guests, visitors & contractors in Sheraton Maldives while protecting the assets, interests and integrity of Sheraton Maldives.

The programme, facilitated by Global Fire Service, was carried out in two sessions: the first session from July 30 to 31 and August 1, followed by the second session held from August 27 to 29. Following the programme, Sheraton Maldives is the first resort in the Maldives to have a leadership team fully-trained on Industrial Fire Brigade, according to Global Fire Service.
