St. Regis Maldives Vommuli slated for September

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The highly anticipated St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort by hospitality giant Starwood Hotels & Resorts will open on 1 September. Located in Dhaalu atoll, the luxury resort is a 40-minute seaplane ride away from the Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.

Designed by Singaporean architecture and design firm, WOW Architects| Warner Wong Design, Vommuli’s contemporary design scheme was inspired by the island’s natural materials and colour palette in a ‘delicate balancing act with nature’.

Surrounded by unspoiled beaches and a secluded lagoon, the resort features 77 exquisitely styled private villas, offering refined luxury.

Vommuli’s Iridium Spa offers six private treatment rooms, a Blue Hole pool, sauna and steam room. In-room spa treatments, personal trainers and yoga classes will be available upon request.

The resort features an infinity swimming pool, a state- of- the- art fitness centre, as well a dive and activity centre. Guest can enjoy complimentary snorkelling equipment and take in the magnificent underwater world teeming with marine life on the island’s private house reef, one of the country’s most renowned. Vommuli’s PADI Dive Centre features Scubapro diving equipment, and offers Nitrox and PADI diving courses to allow guests to experience world-class diving.

The resort’s activity centre offers sailing, windsurfing, surfing, parasailing, sea kayaking, jet skiing, water skiing, and stand-up paddling. Guests can charter a yacht to enjoy uninhabited islands, deep-sea fishing, dolphin and sunset cruises.

With an all -day dining restaurant, and three specialty restaurants serving Mediterranean, Italian and Asian cuisine, Vommuli will offer guests rich culinary experiences. The resort’s Whale Bar will serve signature St. Regis cocktails, tapas and grilled meats amid a tranquil ambiance with uninterrupted views of the ocean.

SPG® Kids Pass, an all-inclusive dining program especially for children of Starwood Preferred Guest® members, provides children (ages 12 and younger) access to a variety of dining options for a flat daily rate. The resort also offers a kids club, child care service and a 24-hour butler service.
