Sun Siyam Iru Veli launches community outreach programme
Sun Siyam Iru Veli has announced the launch of its new community outreach programme, the IMPACT INITIATIVE – Care for Community. This programme is designed to enhance corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts and foster stronger relationships with the local community.
As part of this exciting new initiative, on June 9, 2024, Sun Siyam Iru Veli hosted a special day visit for 29 students from Grades 9 and 10 of Dh. Hulhudheli School, accompanied by four dedicated teachers. The day was filled with engaging activities aimed at providing the students with valuable insights into the hospitality industry and the operations of a luxury resort.
The visit began with an informative session conducted by the Management and Learning and Development team. The session covered various aspects of resort management and career opportunities in the hospitality sector, encouraging students to explore the diverse possibilities within the industry, along with a bespoke session designed to help them become better learners, students, workers, and productive and responsible citizens. Following the session, the students were taken on an educational field trip to observe the inner workings of the Front Office department. This hands-on experience allowed them to see firsthand the day-to-day operations and the exceptional service standards maintained at Sun Siyam Iru Veli.
