Sun Siyam Olhuveli names new Director of Rooms, Spa Manager, and Events Manager
Sun Siyam Olhuveli has announced a series of strategic leadership appointments, reinforcing its commitment to thoughtful growth, operational excellence, and elevated guest experiences across the island. At the centre of this evolution is the promotion of Hassan Mihaadh to Director of Rooms, alongside the appointments of Susi Suniarti as Spa Manager and Suman Saurabh as Events & Entertainment Manager.
A respected Maldivian hospitality professional, Hassan Mihaadh has been promoted to Director of Rooms, advancing from his previous role as Executive Housekeeper. With over 21 years of experience in the industry and more than a decade in senior leadership positions, Hassan brings a deep understanding of the Rooms Division shaped by both local insight and international exposure. His career spans renowned hospitality brands including Banyan Tree, Angsana, Jumeirah International, and Marriott International, with professional experience across the Maldives, the Middle East, Macau, and Southeast Asia. Since joining Sun Siyam Olhuveli in 2023, Hassan has played a key role in enhancing operational consistency and service delivery, now overseeing one of the largest room inventories in the Maldives with a leadership style rooted in precision, empathy, and team development.
Joining the leadership team is Susi Suniarti, appointed as Spa Manager, bringing with her more than two decades of experience in spa and wellness operations across the Maldives and Indonesia. A CIDESCO-certified professional, Susi’s background includes senior roles with Mandara Spa Maldives, Cinnamon Velifushi, Radisson Hotels, Swissôtel by Accor, and Sheraton Hotels, as well as prior experience within Clark Hatch Fitness Center in Asia. Renowned for her strategic approach, operational discipline, and passion for holistic wellness, she will lead the spa and wellness division with a focus on elevated experiences, team development, and long-term performance.
Further enhancing the resort’s guest experience portfolio, Suman Saurabh joins as Events & Entertainment Manager. With over a decade of experience across luxury hospitality brands such as InterContinental Maldives, Six Senses Vietnam, Anantara Kihavah, Kurumba Maldives, Hilton, Le Méridien, and Taj Hotels, Suman brings a dynamic blend of creativity and operational rigour. In his role, he will oversee events, entertainment, and recreation programming, curating engaging, lifestyle-led experiences that resonate with today’s travellers while enhancing the island’s vibrant social rhythm.
